What is Project Genie?
Project Genie, currently in its pilot phase, is an education-based programme focusing on climate change and sustainability that provides a range of teaching ideas, materials and support for primary children and teachers.
Project Genie aims
It is designed to be a catalyst for change – to inspire, encourage debate and motivate children and their families to take action against climate change. It aims to empower children so that their actions, and those of the adults around them who they will influence, become part of the solution.
How does Genie work?
Resources have been designed for children in the UK aged between seven and 11 that will:
• help schools and families reduce their energy bills
• provide ways children and families can save the planet, while saving money in the process.

See Resources. Energy monitors
To deepen the learning experience and to see radical and measured energy reductions, we strongly recommend that schools purchase a smart electricity monitor (OWL).
Find out why and how to order your OWL. Rewards:
A series of rewards for schools are being devised to encourage schools. And a film is currently in production to help schools educate children about what they can do to make a difference.
