Goonhilly Earth Station
"All the children have really enjoyed themselves and the worksheets saved me a lot of time and are relevant to the national curriculum. We shall definitely be booking another trip for a different class - it's ideal".

Louise McGuill, assistant teacher,

Indian Queens Primary School, Cornwall

The largest and oldest satellite station in the world, located in the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, offers a fascinating trip through the history of international communications. The visitors centre provides interactive displays, films and artefacts, in addition to the guided bus tours of the station. And now there is a brand new exhibition 'Future World', with robots, 3 dimensional TV, and lots more, where you can help decide what life might be like in the next 100 years and beyond.

The Connected Earth Learning Centre has worksheets with background information for teachers and students to prepare for school visits; and a virtual tour, online games and activities for those who cannot visit Goonhilly in person.
