Big Listen

What is it?

Every October we devise a week of events designed to draw attention to the importance of listening to young people and understanding the value of their ideas and opinions.

What happens during the Week?

Lots. This year the Big Take Over was a pilot of the event in November where groups of young people shadow BT employees at work. There was Employee Pledge Day, when BT staff determined to take action to listen to and respect the voices and opinions of young people. And the latest Seen & Heard report was launched at an All Party Parliamentary Group at the Houses of Parliament, where the lucky winners had the chance to speak to an MP about the issues that concern them.

Where does the money go?

All the funds raised during the week are donated to ChildLine.
