How to get involved
There are two stages in the SQT Challenge
For the first stage, entrants are asked to submit answers to the following questions.
- What issues would you table for discussion during your ideal QUESTION TIME, and why?
- Who would be on your panel to discuss these issues, and why?
Whether as a class or a whole school activity, this must be students’ work.
Judges from all three partner organisations will choose 12 schools to produce their own event. There is funding and support from BT’s communication skills roadshow to help the students prepare.
At stage two, judges will visit the local Schools Question Time events and select four winning schools from across the UK. Two students from each of the winning schools will have the opportunity to help produce a real edition of the BBC’s QUESTION TIME with Institute for Citizenship President, David Dimbleby, and the regular QUESTION TIME production team!
The winners for 2008 have now been selected, but you can access the resources and stage your own event.
