ChildLine

What is it?

ChildLine is a freephone helpline for children and young people in danger or distress. It is available from anywhere in the UK and provides a confidential telephone counselling service for any child with any problem, 24 hours a day, every day.

ChildLine Volunteers

ChildLine relies on volunteer counsellors to answer calls to the helpline, so we are working to recruit BT employees to become ChildLine counsellors and help meet this demand.

Strategic Support

We provide new call centre technology and operational advice, as well as encouraging other corporate organisations to partner with ChildLine.

Since our partnership with ChildLine began in 1986, calls to the charity helpline have continued to rise to the current level of around 4,500 each day. With our support, the number of calls answered has also risen substantially, to 2,500 per day.
