CBI Conference Centre, Centre Point Tower, 103 New Oxford Street, London, WC1A 1DU
Speech, language and communication skills are the key to unlocking the curriculum and are fundamental for all children’s development. Supporting communication development for all children is fundamental across the entire children’s workforce.
This second conference from The Communication Trust aims to provide an opportunity to explore the issue of workforce development in the context of speech, language and communication (SLC) for primary aged children (including the transition into primary school).
Delegates will hear updates from key players from the Bercow review and listen to keynote speakers from experts in curriculum and schools inspection. Attendees will also explore current issues in workforce development following the announcement of Bercow Review recommendations and learn more about tools and resources for teachers and parents to support children’s communication development.
Delegates will get an update on the Speech, Language and Communication Framework (SLCF), a competency based framework to support managers and practitioners to assess and plan professional development in the context of SLC.
This conference will be invaluable for those with a workforce development responsibility across the early years, schools, youth and health. Delegates will include, Head Teachers, Speech and Language Therapist Managers, Early Years Team Leaders, School Leaders, Managers of Youth, Health and Social Services and Local Authority Team Leaders in Workforce Strategy, School Improvement and Inclusion.
