I think it would be good to have the list of the 20 faces and their emotion before the class has a go at it. Could you email this information please many thanks

The list of all the emotions stays on the page on the left-hand side throughout the game. Each 'emotion' has, at most, 10 different combinations that can be 'right' and some of the emotions are quite close to others. The point of the game primarily is to get children thinking about facial expressions in a fun way, and about how subtle expressions are. So for example there are different faces for 'happy' and 'very happy'. The way in which the game is built means that the teacher cannot know what the right answer is prior to the child's guess work.

In response to comments that the emotion " I fancy you" is inappropriate for the age group we have changed this to "I like you" and made one or two other minor amendments to 'Making Faces'.

Many, many thanks for your prompt action. On behalf of all the children who will benefit from the betterworld resources i congratulate all concerned for your efforts with this valuable work. The children in my care and many others enjoy your online games and it is gratifying to know that you take on board the experience and opinion of someone in the 'front line' of the battle for a safer and more emotionally healthy life for all those young people who have suffered abuse of any kind.

The game is very very very good. I like it because the faces make you laugh.
