Bilal accepts his Award
"Web design is like crafting a frame and a canvas and painting it with a variety of colours, scenes and people. A website needs a good, solid framework but most importantly a space where people can express themselves and inform others about their work, be it someone living two doors down the road or on the other side of the world.
Whilst working on this project, I've found that regardless of their knowledge of computers or technology, people are always keen to help and support in whatever way they can. This shows how important it is that we use the web to reach out to everyone, in particular those young people who are not so confident, and listen to their views.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank fellow web-designers across the world who have been an immense help and inspiration, members of UKYP West Midlands who have contributed or will be contributing to the website, and Anna Sterckx (UKYPWM Regional Coordinator) for all her support."
