'We', 'us' and 'our' mean the BT Better World Campaign website and its staff which are part of BT. 'You' and 'your' mean you as a user of the BT Better World Campaign website. 'The website' and 'the site' mean the BT Better World Campaign website at www.btbetterworld.com

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and take effect immediately on your first use of the site. You are responsible for reviewing regularly these Terms and Conditions because any changes to them will be posted online. Your continued use of this site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions as modified by the posted changes.

Educational use
Individual pupils, students and teachers can download and print off documents and pages from the BT Education Programme website for educational purposes within a school or college in the UK (and elsewhere if in pursuit of educational work).

Materials may not be used commercially for profit by any third party (in part or whole) or have any copyright or trademark logos removed when used.

Copies of material should not be used for any promotional, administrative or commercial purposes of the school/educational establishment.

On no account should any copies be offered for sale, sold or hired out. Nor can copies be shown to paying audiences.

You agree not to adapt, alter or create a derivative work from any of the material contained in this site or use it for any other purpose other than for your personal or educational non-commercial use.

Conditions for your Contributions
If you submit any contribution to this site (including without limitation any text, graphics, video or audio) you are required to grant BT a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicenseable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to any such work worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in such content. If you do not wish to grant such rights to BT, it is suggested that you do not submit your contribution to this site.
When making a contribution to this site, you must not:
  • post material that you did not create, unless you have the permission of the owner of the relevant rights to that material
  • transmit illegal material (for example indecent images of children) or material that may be deemed to be grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene nature or menacing in character
  • send, with the intention of causing annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety a message that you know to be false, or to cause such a message to be sent or to persistently make use of our service for that purpose
  • make statements that are defamatory to or misrepresent others.   • include in your contribution any information which could identify you or anyone else personally, such as your full name, home address, telephone number(s) or email address.

BT reserves the right to refuse your contribution or edit it, whether because it is in breach of these Terms and Conditions or for any other reason. If your contributions are repeatedly in breach of these Terms and Conditions, BT may suspend or terminate your registration.
Unless contributions have been submitted by the BT Better World Campaign staff, the views expressed in the contributions are not those of BT, nor is BT responsible for any material included in them.
BT is obliged under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act to disclose information to Law Enforcement Agencies and Public Authorities that are legally entitled to obtain such information. Similarly BT must comply with court orders to disclose information. In serious instances of unlawful activity we may also notify the police or relevant law enforcement agency.

BT's Liability
While BT aims to make sure that the information on the website is correct, we do not warrant the accuracy and completeness of the site or any materials available from it. The material on the website is provided "as is", without any conditions, warranties or other terms of any kind. Accordingly, to the maximum extent permitted by law, BT excludes all representations, warranties, conditions and other terms (including, without limitation, the conditions implied by law of satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and the use of reasonable care and skill which, but for this legal notice, might have effect in relation to the website).
BT excludes all liability and responsibility for any amount or kind of loss or damage that may result to you (including without limitation, any direct, indirect, punitive or consequential loss or damages, or any loss of income, profits, goodwill, data, contracts, use of money, or loss or damages arising from or connected in any way to business interruption, and whether in tort (including without limitation negligence), contract or otherwise) in connection with the website in any way. Nothing in this legal notice shall exclude or limit BT’s liability for (a) death or personal injury caused by negligence; or (b) fraud; or (c) any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Your indemnity and waiver
By submitting your contribution to this site you agree to indemnify BT against all claims, actions, damages, proceedings, demands, losses and reasonable costs and expenses that may be incurred by BT as a result of your breach of these Terms and Conditions. You further agree to waive any moral rights in your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication on the BT site and the other purposes specified above.

General
If any of these Terms and Conditions should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the laws of any state or country in which these Terms and Conditions are intended to be effective, then to the extent and within the jurisdiction which that Term or Condition is illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it shall be severed and deleted from this clause and the remaining Terms and Conditions shall survive, remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Disputes arising as a result of this website shall be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
