Communication award
What is it?
An audit and development tool for carrying out a thorough health check of schools' communication networks - a ‘kite mark’ for good communication practice in schools. BT are working in collaboration with The Specialist Schools and Academies Trust, Prescot Specialist Language College and Knowsley Secondary Partnership to develop this tool, and expect to launch it later this year.
What does it consist of?
The award will consist of 12 modules, each with key indicator questions that ask the school to think about and then demonstrate how they fulfil that module’s criteria. See the full list of modules.
Who is it for?
The Communication award is for use in any school that sees good communication as fundamental to the academic and social wellbeing of students, staff and community. The award is an inclusive scheme that is accessible to any school context because every school, regardless of age range, academic attainment levels or demographics, needs to communicate well.
